Border residents forced to sign oaths to “never use illegal phones”
Since the middle of last month, the Ministry of State Security in North Korean border regions have been forcing citizens to sign written oaths. These oaths pledge never to use foreign-made mobile phones along with a promise to report other users. Furthermore, the Ministry warned locals that violators will face criminal punishments.
