This month the UN World Food Programme reported that quantity of food aid being sent to North Korea, approximately 2050 tons, has reached a two year low. A significant decrease in funding has forced the WFP to adjust their budget for aid packages. Delivery figures regarding the amount of aid under the reduced budgetary conditions are described at 700,000 North Korean persons, however, the production of extra nutritious biscuits for children has ceased.
