North Korea has been ranked second on the 10 most censored countries. Committee to Protect Journalists, an NGO to promote press freedom and defend the rights of journalists, has released the list of 10 Most Censored Countries on its website.

It says that, Eritrea and North Korea are the first and second most censored countries worldwide.

CPJ explained that only 9.7 percent of North Korean population has cell phones and only a select few powerful individuals have access to the Internet.

It interestingly stated that, The state has such a tight grip on the news agenda that newsreel was re-edited to remove Kim Jong Un's disgraced uncle from the archives after his execution.
