A glimpse into North Korea’s COVID-19 situation
Since announcing its first COVID-19 case, North Korea has been releasing the number of new fever cases, but it’s unclear whether this information is accurate or not.
To determine infections, the head of the inminban solely checks people’s temperature 2~3 times a day by visiting their household. People with fever are then quarantined in their houses and are prohibited from leaving it for a week until they get cured, only if their fevers have subsided
For people with difficulties breathing or serious symptoms, there’s no special treatment, those are only given fever reducers at the hospital.
