This coming week, October 7th - 11th, will be the first ever Europe-wide North Korea Freedom Week. Initiated and led by the North Korean Residents Society, which represents North Korean refugees in Europe, it is supported by CSW, Amnesty International and North Korea Campaign UK.

 

On Monday, October 7th, from 11am until 1pm, the week’s activities will begin with a demonstration at the North Korean Embassy. Other events taking place throughout the week include a hearing in Parliament at 10am on Tuesday, October 8th, hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group for North Korea and chaired by Lord Alton, in room 2A, Houses of Parliament. Three North Korean defectors will give evidence at the hearing.
